2014 seminar talk: Order-sequential compactness
Talk held by Jan Starý (Czech Technical Univeristy in Prague) at the KGRC seminar on 2014-11-20.
Abstract
A Boolean algebra which is compact in its order-sequential topology needs to be ccc, must not add an independent real as a forcing (hence must not embedd the Cantor algebra), and the only Hausdorff case is the powerset of omega. We look for examples of such algebras (non-Hausdorff, hence non-Maharam) and the corresponding forcing restrictions.
